Millsheds Distillery Bramble Gin
Employing both their Highlands and Southern Dry gins and harmonising the spirits through the lens of a gin liqueur with blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries has created a beautiful, blush product that radiates both the spirits used and the berries together. While it is bottled below the spirit requirements, with no added sugar, the berry element stands out as being fresh and generous without encompassing the whole of the profile. The nose, in particular, retains a great sense of the customary gin profile – full of citrus and spice characters with merely a hint of jammy fruit under the surface. Without seeing the colour, by nose alone, you would not immediately pick up that this is a fruited gin. The lack of additional sugar also helps to keep the texture of the gin lighter; it presents as playful and energetic.
