Eureka Distilling Moreau Apple Pie Liqueur
{f3612a04-88e5-4b74-b0a0-555f07d9920e}
A warm nose of baking spices, vanilla and roasted apples ticks all the right boxes. This has good clarity and complexity, nothing getting in the way of the apple-pie aroma. My American mother makes a pretty cracking apple pie, and this takes me right back to her kitchen, so we’re in a happy place here. On the palate, there’s good restraint with the sugar and nice juicy acidity for balance. Where so many liqueurs end up syrupy and cloying, the spices and fresh apple notes here are enhanced rather than obliterated with sugar, and there’s no hint of harshness from the underlying spirit. A light, approachable, well-balanced and inherently delicious liqueur. Lovers of home-made apple pie, rejoice.
