Lost Phoenix Foraged Berry Gin
Bursting with lively, bright berries. Bottling this gin at 40% has enabled it to retain its spirit quality and gives the gin some extra pizzaz. In keeping the gin at a higher abv for the style, the alcohol is able to remain present and lifts the juniper and more traditional herbacous gin characteristics that can be lost when fruited gins are below the spirit abv requirements. It brings forward more complexity and structure in a rambunctious spirit. The berry qualities offer a lot of variety as well, with darker black fruits more present on the nose, offering some rich, jammy notes. The palate, on the other hand, presents with brighter red fruits, brimming with a vibrant, fresh quality that invigorates the gin. All in all, the fruits endow the gin with a delightful tone, suggestive of warm fruit toast with lots of jam.
