Furneaux Distillery Untamed Gin

An excellent, well-considered use of botanicals, this gin presents cohesion between the aroma and palate. The somewhat restrained ABV is well-integrated and pleasant, allowing each flavour's nuance to be showcased and come through. This gin has two schools of flavour: the coastal, summer sea breeze quality and a warmer baked citrus quality. Both work in tandem to build an interesting, engaging and versatile spirit. These elements are not always harmonious. However, the heavier use of anise forward botanicals is a guiding flavour to effortlessly envelope and create a thoughtful & polished spirit.
