The Gospel Whiskey Straight Rye Whisky

'Straight' is an American whisky designation that means a spirit has been matured for at least two years. Those carefully seasoned and toasted American oak casks do most of the talking, offering notes of polished furniture and dried thyme. The higher ABV here is barely perceptible on the nose, but it helps this whisky stand up well to dilution in cocktails and gives this product a much lengthier finish and grippy texture than its younger sibling, Solera. This whisky makes a fantastic premium cocktail, so in that regard, they've nailed the brief and at a reasonable price.
