Ballabourneen

Ballabourneen had been making wines since the early 1990s and, in 2008, Hunter Valley winemaker Daniel Binet formed a joint venture with owner Alexander Stuart OAM to extend the Ballabourneen range of wines, buying grapes from well-known Hunter Valley sources,and making their wine at Tatler's Lovedale Road facility. In January '16,Ballabourneen acquired its new home at Pokolbin Hill on McDonalds Road, and is constructing a cellar door overlooking the foothills of the Brokenback Ranges. They have also planted 1ha of tannat and touriga nacional. Exports to the US and China. -JAMES HALLIDAY
