Our Review
Robert (Bob) Stein established this vineyard in the '70s, although the family history stretches back to Bob’s great-great-grandfather, Johann Stein, brought to Australia in 1838 by the Macarthur family to supervise the planting of the Camden Park vineyard. Three generations on, Bob’s grandson Jacob is chief winemaker and, as of '25, the owner of Robert Stein Wines alongside his wife, Gina. Jacob returned to the family business after various vintages around the globe, including in Germany’s Rheingau and Rheinhessen, where his passion for riesling was ignited. The estate Wallenstein vineyard was certified organic in '90; other vineyards are run according to organic principles. The winery was certified organic in '20. -HALLIDAY TEAM
