La Linea

La Linea is a partnership between experienced wine industry professionals Peter Leske (ex-Nepenthe), Alanna Pepper and David LeMire MW. Peter was among the first to recognise the potential of tempranillo in Australia and his knowledge of it is reflected in the 3 wine styles made from the variety: a dry rosé, a dry red blended from several Adelaide Hills vineyards, and Sureño, made in select vintages from specific sites at the southern end of the Hills. The team pioneered mencía – the red variety from northwest Spain – in the Hills. They also produce off-dry riesling from an elevated single-site vineyard in Lenswood. -JAMES HALLIDAY
