Our Review
Tim Knappstein is a 3rd-generation vigneron, his winemaking lineage dating back to 1893 in the Clare Valley. He made his 1st wines at the family’s Stanley Wine Company and established his own wine company in the Clare Valley in 1976. After the sale of that company in ’81, Tim relocated to Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills to make cool-climate wines led by pinot noir and chardonnay. His quest has now been achieved with consistently excellent wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY
