Our Review
St Hallett sources all fruit from the Barossa GI and remains synonymous with the region’s defining variety, shiraz. Acquired by Accolade (now Vinarchy) in 2017, the portfolio ranges from the ultra-premium Planted Series to the longstanding Old Block and Blackwell wines. Old Block draws on vineyards in Lyndoch and Eden Valley, while Blackwell sources from Greenock, Ebenezer and Seppeltsfield. The winemaking team continues to explore the Barossa’s geographical, geological and climatic diversity, processing vineyard parcels separately and increasingly releasing single-vineyard wines. -KATRINA BUTLER
