Matriarch & Rogue

South Australia | Clare Valley | Ngadjuri Country

Our Review

The catchy name is based on 5 sisters who are the 3rd generation of the Byrne family, with a history going back to the family's home in Ireland. The sisters are known as the Patrick Byrne girls, and the wines are a tribute to the strong women of the family, and the rogues they married. Winemaker and proprietor Marnie Roberts is, one assumes, one of the strong women. A new cellar door is set to open late ’24. -JAMES HALLIDAY
