Our Review
This 170+yo brand is part of the Vinarchy wines group. The eponymous Eileen Hardy label is named after matriarch Eileen Hardy OBE; the inaugural Eileen Hardy Shiraz was released in ’73 to mark her 80th birthday. Today, the chardonnay fruit comes from vineyards in the Coal River Valley and Derwent Valley in Tasmania, alongside Tumbarumba in NSW. Pinot is sourced entirely from Tasmania and shiraz from a selection of mature vineyards in McLaren Vale. The cellar door includes a museum that traces the brand's history through stories and old winemaking equipment. -JAMES HALLIDAY
