Our Review
Con-Greg Grigoriou grew up on a vineyard in the Riverland and spent a lot of time in wineries with his father and grandfather. Still, it was the small-batch, minimal-intervention wines he drank while travelling overseas that inspired him to establish his own label in 2013. The name Delinquente – Italian for, perhaps obviously, ‘delinquent’ – indicates that Con-Greg’s approach to winemaking in the Riverland isn't conventional. The focus is on drought-tolerant, climate-appropriate southern Italian varieties, including vermentino, negroamaro, montepulciano and bianco d'alessano, made with fruit sourced from growers in the region and each with label illustrations by local artist Jason Koen. -ANNA WEBSTER
