Our Review
One ha each of pinot noir and chardonnay were planted in 1994 on a block of steeply sloping grazing land on the side of the Chepstowe Hill, looking northeast across to the Grampians, followed by an additionalha of pinot noir in '96. In the warmest of vintages it is possible to obtain full ripeness for table wines, but in normal years I suspect sparkling wine (of potentially high quality) might be the best option. -JAMES HALLIDAY
