Our Review
The Zapris family emigrated from Greece a generation ago, bringing with them a family tradition of winemaking. They established Sir Paz Estate in '97, planting just under 6ha of shiraz; the 1st release of '01 scored an emphatic gold medal at the Victorian Wines Show '03 as the highest-scored entry. This success led to further plantings, today including shiraz, merlot, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and most recently pinot noir. -JAMES HALLIDAY
