Our Review
Established in '74 by Perth-based medical practitioner Dr Peter Pratten and Elizabeth Pratten. The first vineyard adjacent to the winery was planted on the banks of the quiet waters of Capel River. The viticultural empire has since expanded, spreading across Geographe (9ha), Mount Barker (15ha) and Margaret River (28ha). There are 4 tiers in the Capel Vale portfolio: Debut (varietals), Regional Series, Black Label Margaret River Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and, at the top, the Single Vineyard Wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY
