Our Review
The first wine Andrew Dawson made under the Yeah Wine label was in ’20 from a parcel of Geographe tempranillo his then-employer turned down. By the end of ’21, he and wife Sian had turned Yeah into a full-time enterprise. Today, the range has swelled to more than 20 wines and fruit is sourced from all over Western Australia. The aim to hero lesser-known varieties and regions within the state is reflected across its multiple tiers, among which are the Single Vineyard, WA United, Small Batch and Reserve series. Andrew embraces a range of winemaking techniques, including skin contact, whole-berry/bunch fermentation and carbonic maceration (even with sauvignon blanc and other white grapes), and the wines are generally unfiltered/unfined with no adds beyond a touch of sulphur at bottling. -ANNA WEBSTER
