The top 19 wines from the 2027 Halliday Wine Companion were revealed at the Halliday Awards on August 19, 2026.
This year, the winning wines hailed from all across Australia, with some of the best regions including McLaren Vale, Yarra Valley, Tasmania, Hunter Valley and more well represented.
Due to increased quality and quantity of submissions, the 2027 Companion also saw the introduction of a new category: Fiano of the Year, which in previous years was included in the Other Whites & Blends category. This year, we also recognised two winners in the Wildcard category, a Wildcard White and a Wildcard Red.
Other Whites & Blends was won by the Mount Mary Triolet 2024, which then went on to win White Wine of the Year and Wine of the Year.
