Last week we released the Top 100 Wineries 2024. The list is jam-packed with some of the country's very best producers. To be an eligible winery, Halliday must have reviewed each producer's wines over the last 12 months. That list had 1100 names on it, and from there quality across the range was key.
Starting at 100 and descending to 1, below are 15 wines from producers featured in the Top 100 Wineries. Kicking off at number 100, Tahbilk features its famous marsanne. Colin McBryde of Adelina Wines, number 98, has put forward his 2022 Shiraz, while De Bortoli in the Yarra Valley, ranking at 88, wants you to try its Chill no Chill Pinot Noir Syrah. Stuart Pym's Flowstone Wines, which was ranked at number 85, highlights its Queen of the Earth Sauvignon Blanc, while the Mornington Peninsula's Crittenden Estate, number 73, has selected its 96-point Cri de Coeur Pinot Noir.
Looking for a cabernet and merlot blend? Try number 66, Wantirna Estate's 96-point wine. Lethbridge Wines in Geelong, number 59, puts forward its Mietta Pinot Noir. Staying with pinot, Ashton Hills Vineyard from the Adelaide Hills has ranked at number 46 and brings its 2023 Estate Pinot Noir. Battles' Frankland Shiraz is 96 points and the Western Australian winery has been ranked number 43.
Henschke's Julius Riesling is one of many reasons the winery sits in our top 15, placing at number 14. At number nine is Yarra Yering, which has included its Dry Red Wine No. 2, which was also named the 2025 Red Wine of the Year in the Halliday Awards. Number eight is riesling giant, Grosset; the 2024 Springvale Riesling is rated 95 points. Cullen Wines in Margaret River is number seven, and puts forward its 97-point Diana Madeline. You'll find the 2022 Hickinbotham Clarendon Grenache from Yangarra, which is number four in the Top 100 Wineries. Finally, try the 2022 Estate Grown Shiraz from Tyrrell's Wines in the Hunter Valley – ranked number one.
